All over. The full results are in.
In all, 59% of eligible voters voted.
There were 1,171,769 Yes votes (67%)
There were 576,851 No votes (33%)
I thought it would be closer, My very inaccurate prediction was 53 – 47 I am glad that I am not always right.
Last year there were 862, 415 No votes and 752,451 for Yes. Adding together the two results gives a total of 1,924,220 Yes votes and 1,439,266 No votes- overall a strong Yes majority between the two referendums.Author : Jim Murray
